The following will detail the criteria that must be established in order to qualify for a green card as a religious worker.

There are 3 main criteria that must be established to prove that an applicant is eligible for an green card as a religious worker. These criteria are:

• That for at least 2 years immediately preceding the time of application for admission, the applicant has been a member of a religious denomination having a bona fide nonprofit, religious organization in the United States;

• That the applicant seeks permanent entry into the United States solely for the purpose of carrying on the vocation of a religious worker of that religious denomination; and,
• That you have been continuously working for the religious denomination in the vocation of a religious worker for at least 2 years immediately preceding the time of application.

If the above criteria can be established the applicant will receive a green card as a religious worker. The major benefit of this type of application is that a labor certification is not required in order to obtain a green card as a religious worker.
